At the Web 2.0 Summit today in San Francisco, Google’s Marissa Mayer unexpectedly came on stage to unveil a new product. Google is now planning to offer Twitter search as well.

Mayer shared that there is a new Google product called “Social Search” that is launching soon in Google Labs. Google has now announced that it, too, has struck a deal with Twitter to include real-time tweets in Google’s search results. By this deal it is clear that Google know the importance of Twitter real time search results.

Probably Microsoft deal with twitter has forced Google to announce this. Microsoft has already brought twitter to its users you can easily get it on http://www.bing.com/twitter.

Now Google is planning to embed twitter real time search results with Google results. Have a look what Google says:

Given this new type of information and its value to search, we are very excited to announce that we have reached an agreement with Twitter to include their updates in our search results. We believe that our search results and user experience will greatly benefit from the inclusion of this up-to-the-minute data, and we look forward to having a product that showcases how tweets can make search better in the coming months. That way, the next time you search for something that can be aided by a real-time observation, say, snow conditions at your favorite ski resort, you’ll find tweets from other users who are there and sharing the latest and greatest information.

Microsoft also announced that soon Facebook will be with them. Facebook status updates will also be featured on the search engine. Now this is the thing that can force Google to have a deep thought on……
